Stopped in for an early lunch on a Sunday and wondered if they were open with so few cars in their lot (Texas Roadhouse was packed as usual). We discovered a neat little place with good food choices, plenty of seating, and great prices. We ordered their chicken wings, a trip to the salad bar (this needs improvement with its location, choices), and chicken tenders with fries. Keeping in mind that it is a bar, the food was good, piping hot, and served as ordered. The highlight--beside the service--was the wing sauce. Man, they got some sauces goin' on! As we lingered over our meal the place began to fill with patrons, which quelled our initial hesitation since we arrived early apparantly. When in town we'll visit again. PS: Emily was a wonderful waitress.

Food was tasty tavern fare. TV on tables. Beer was reasonable. Waitress was very attentive. Bbq was wonderful.

The food was great and the server was super friendly and accommodating. Keep in mind it's a tavern and not an Applebee's. It's a bit small but when we went it was not busy at all. Decently priced, good sized portions, surprisingly good salad bar which was worth the additional $2.

Once again, great service and awesome atmosphere. This time for lunch. Took the whole team from the BCBL after our game and the all you can eat lunch is amazing! Bbq, wings, fries and salad for 8.99, can't beat it. Best lunch in Myrtle Beach!

We have been here a few times. The service is good, atmosphere relaxed. They have a few tables with beer tabs for the beer lovers. Our group shared a bunch of appetizers: chicken wings "pretty good" mozzarella sticks "good" pretzels "too doughy" fries "ok" Not one of my favorite places but it's convenient and comfortable.

Food - Wings are great, plenty of draft beer available at a reasonable price. Dan the bartender was fun and interactive (Bees in the Trap!! LOL!) The draft tables are awesome, although we've never sat at them. This place is a little out of the way, but it's worth the drive if you just want a place to hang out, have a drink and grab some good bar food. Pros -- prices are not bad, food is pretty good. Fiance loved the fried turkey in her sandwich. Cons - not much in the way of energy....it's a pretty laid back place, at least it has been everytime we've been. This could actually be a pro...depending on your likes.

Stopped in to have dinner and watch the football game. We started with chili cheese fries which were a favorite with the group. I tried the BYOB Burger and my husband tried the Tavern Burger. We both agreed that the burgers were excellent. The burger was hand made and all of the toppings were fresh. Hot fries perfectly seasoned complemented the meal. The atmosphere was pub-casual and clean. The crowd was polite and I felt comfortable having my 14 year old with me. I will recommend this restaurant to others nd will return on my next trip to MB.

Not a bad BBQ restaurant, just not a great one. I always make an effort to go to a BBQ restaurant when in the south so I've been to quite a few. The food at Carolina Tavern in Myrtle Beach just was nothing special. We went there after reading Yelp reviews of BBQ places in MB and this place got mostly 5 star reviews, higher than the other local choices reviewed. Why such high ratings we could not figure out afterwards. The ribs were tender and there were many choices of different BBQ sauces. (If you're not sure which sauce to choose for your ribs, ask them to bring out an assortment on the side so you can sample the different sauces.) The wings were nothing special, again a nice choice of different sauces to choose from. Nothing special about the sides, but don't bother with the sweet potato tots--those who ordered them from our party of seven ate only a few because they were soggy and not crispy, tasted like a ball of sweet potatoes. The salad bar that comes with an entree again was nothing special, with only a few toppings. And the Dr. Pepper was weak. The table was sticky because of the paint, which was chipping along the edges. Oh, and you may want to check what's going on in the bar/restaurant before making the trip. We happened to go on a Monday night which happened to be bingo night, and the volume of the bingo caller using a microphone was blasting--when we asked if they could turn down the volume of the mic, we were told the volume was not adjustable (so we asked whether he could hold the mic a bit further from his mouth, which made it much more bearable, until the mic drifted back to right up against his mouth). All in all, not a bad place with mostly adequate food, just nothing that set it apart compared to other BBQ restaurants we've been too.

Went with the whole family on vacation (10 adults 2 kids). Service was good and the food was great. Everyone in our group loved their food. If we are ever back in the area we will go back.

If you plan on going to this joint make sure you go with a good buzz on because it seems that everyone working there was drunk even the employees were laughing at their bosses never fails me on how businesses stay in business at least the food was mediocre and the service was okay

I had a great lunch here on my trip. The waitress was really nice and very helpful. They have a salad bar which was a nice feature for a tavern. I had a really good lunch special. For eight bucks you had all you could eat wings, chopped BBQ pork, fries and salad bar. The salad bar was basic but the vegetables were fresh. You could pick the sauce for the BBQ and I had the mustard BBQ sauce. It was sweet and tangy. The fries came out the way I ordered them, without salt and very hot. The star of the plate was the wings. They have really good wings. The wings were crisp and sauced well. I tried the sweet chili, Cajan honey, and Parmesan to name a few. All were so good. My dad had ordered the special as well so we were able to try more flavors. I would eat here again.

Do not waste your hard earned money on this dump

Ok, I would usually not write a review before I condemn a place. but I will make an exception for this establishment. I should have walked out as soon as I walked in and stuck to the floor. But I figured we would give it a shot. After sitting down an sticking to the table we decided on a quick drink and nachos. It was hard to enjoy my beer when I couldn't pick it up. The nachos are not even cooked and the veggies are raw, I guess cheese is not one of the items on there nachos. The service was good but it was also 2 pm on a Saturday and we were the only ones there.

Wife an I had the wings which were cooked perfectly. The sauce on the wings was very good, we had garlic parm, hot and garlic ranch. Service was great and the place was clean. If your into TVs this is the place for you. Each booth had a tv in it and they had them all over the bar as well. We will revisit the next time were in the mood for wings.

OK. This was kind of weird. My family and I have been here several times in the last 2 years, since we live in the neighborhood. Typically, I would consider this somewhere between 4 and 5 stars. Always thought the service was great, the food excellent, and I always would rate it as a great experience. However... We just came back from there tonight, and could see a major difference in stuff. Granted, it's been a couple months since we've been in, but yeah, we were a little bummed. The place was busy, but all the wait staff had changed, and the new crew seemed to have a hard time keeping up (never saw our waitress after our food was served, and waited 25 minutes for our ticket, after I went to the register to request it) Worst yet, our wings seemed overcooked. I don't know. I'm going to chalk it up as an off night, but I'm worried there was an ownership change I was not made aware of. Something seemed off in the whole formula of what we would typically consider a normally great experience. We'll give it another fair shake, and hopefully I'll be updating this review with some good news.

Wonderful customer service! Great food! My 3 year old son wanted chocolate milk very badly...when I went to order this for him our waitress told us they didn't have chocolate milk, but she would see what she could do. Minutes later, she returned to inform us that the restaurant was going across the street to a store to BUY some chocolate milk so my son could have his favorite drink. My son had French fries, our waitress brought him a plate of ketchup in the form of a smiley face, she also drew a smiley face on his cup. I've never been to a restaurant that cared about their customers this much, especially the kids. Oh, and order the deep fried pickle burger. Outstanding.

Food was delicious and reasonably priced. We got two burgers, fries and their delicious nachos with an alcoholic beverage and our bill was $30. Unfortunately, I got a severe case of food poisoning which was definitely a downer since we were starting our vacation. Aside from me being up getting sick for the whole night with cold sweats and everything else the food was good. I have a really strong stomach so I find it weird that their food made me sick......oh well.

Went here with friends yesterday afternoon. Good basic bar food and TVs at booths to watch sporting events. 3 of us had the barrel burger comes with bacon and cheese and 2 chicken fingers ( we chose to eat them on side not on burger) with choice of about 15 sauces. Comes with choice of side - fries were nice and hot and the other person loved his sweet potato tots. Hubby got a chicken sandwich - chose the Cajun honey sauce - said it was excellent. Only caution is to check out salad bar before ordering - lettuce was not fresh at all.
